Our Pastor
Our newly appointed Pastor is Rudy Elizondo and he has been here since 2001. He graduated
Victory Baptist College in South Carolina with a Degree in Christian Ministries, Lamar University in
Texas with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, and Victory Baptist College with a Master's
Degree in Biblical Studies. Our Retired Pastor is Patrick Spannagel. He has been at this church
since 1976. He was saved at twelve years of age and was called to preach at age seventeen. He
attended the University of Corpus Christi and has been pastoring and preaching all his life. He
retired in March, 2006.
Our History
Our church began as a mission work in 1942 sent out by the Richmond ave. Baptist Church in San
Antonio. The Pastor, Osa Dodson, organized the work and later moved it to our current location in
the 1960's. Bro. Patrick joined the work as the Associate and then became the Pastor. We have
had only two Pastors in our 64 years of existence.
